My January Primark Haul

So this week seems to be a week of hauls on my blog…

Last week I was in Primark and picked up a few bargains. I decided to film a video about it as haven’t done anything for YouTube in a while. I also took pictures as some of you may not want to listen to me talk. So without further ado, my newest Primark haul

First of a bought two necklaces

(I had no idea how hard it is to take pictures of necklaces before this)

Both of them were £1.50 and they are nice to add small details to an outfit.

Next I got this rose gold clutch

It was only £1 and small enough to be used as a purse but large enough to be a bag by itself. Right now I keep all my loyalty cards in it

I also got a hat because when it started to snow, I realised that I don’t own any.

It was only £1 so if I don’t end up needing it, it won’t be too be a deal.

I also bought I long sleeve, dotty top.

It was only £2 and it will look cute with a skirt in the spring.

I also got some Jumpers from the men’s section.

There was lots on sale and it was a miracle that I managed to stop myself with three.

The first two jumpers were £3 and the last one was £2. I already wore it in a post here

Because I was in a buying mood, I also got some essentials.

First of I got some "seamless footies". They were £1.30 and are good for shoes you can’t really wear socks with – like my brogues.

After hearing a lot about these, I got a pair of fleece lined tights.

These were £3.50 and they are so warm and soft – just a joy to wear.

Next I got a hair doughnut

It was only 80p and as you probably know, I'm pretty late to trends and this is my first one.

And finally, I got two makeup brushes

I got a blusher brush for £1.50 and an eyeshadow brush for £1. They were supposed to be a “just-in-the-meantime” sort of thing but I think they are pretty good. They’re very soft and put on enough product. There has been no shedding and the blusher brush is large enough for it to blend out for a natural look.

So that’s my Primark haul. There was a lot of bargains, and considering that I only spent £22.30 overall, I don’t feel bad about buying all that stuff.

Today I'm listening to:

I was thinking about getting a new camera lens and was wondering what other bloggers use? What do you reckon is the best one to get for the type of posts I do?

  1. I so wish we had Primark in the US. About the closest thing I can think of is Forever 21...? They have cheap jewelry and things often.

You should do a post on your jumper collection! I've tried hard this winter to keep my own in check...

  4. That's quite a haul! Love the bobble hat. What camera do you have? I bought my 35mm lens for my Canon 650d and I've never looked back...

  6. Their seamless footies are the best! I always wear them with low-cut shoes and even under tights when it's cold.

Raccoons and Ringlets

After we went swimming the other day, I just let my hair dry naturally. This produced what has been dubbed as my “triangle hair”. My hair usually curls tighter when I leave it, but I’ve been straightening it a lot more often and it seems to have melted my hair or something because the last couple of times it was just straight frizz. The lighting is terrible in all these pictures so if I look a little red that’s why. The jumper I'm wearing is from the men’s section. I find that guy’s jumpers are a lot warmer and the neck-line is so high, you don’t need a scarf. In Primark specifically, the men’s jumpers seem to be less itchy and wash a lot better as they don’t shrink as badly. The styles are usually very similar to the woman’s and they seem to be in more muted colours which is something I particularly like.      I'm wearing: Jumper from Primark (they are  usually  £6 but I managed to get mine at the start of summer for £3.) Denim Shorts from

A Storm in a Teacup

So the other day I was out shopping with my friend when I saw this dress and got a bit over excited. It was long enough to go past my knees! Being something like 5’10, dresses that are long enough on other people are always too short on me. So many of the dresses I have, I have to wear with leggings or even skinny jeans. So the fact this dress wasn’t just long enough, but went past my knees was a novelty. It’s really pretty too, these pictures don’t show the top of it but it has a 1940’s sort of feel to it. I can’t wait until the weather warms up and I can wear it with my arms out.    The iso is a bit high in some of these pictures as the sun was setting so half of them are a bit grainy. I didn’t realise this at the time and even though I kind of like the effect, it would have been better if they all looked the same. Oh well, I will just have to remember this for next time. I also went a bit mad in Primark and I have filmed a video on what I bought, which I’ll

A New Year

So another year has come to an end and I don’t have much to reflect back on. Yes, I have grown more in this year than any other, but there haven’t been any specific things that I am proud of and I’ve came nowhere near completing my resolutions. This year instead of setting resolutions that I conveniently forget within the month, I am going to make ones that I will have to stick to. For starters, my mother and I are going to start an exercise class and drag the other to it. I'm going to try and vary my hair and makeup more and include them in my blog posts. I'm also going to do a 365 project where I take a picture every day. To make sure I’m doing this, I will post them to my Instagram. Hopefully this will make me improve my photos because let’s face it; they’re all pretty bad right now.  These photos are of my outfit from this New Year’s Eve taken on my phone as the connector for the proper camera has broken, so they are all a bit blurry. We had a very casual “party
